In GTA3, at Shoreside Vale, there is a lonely plane in an empty hanger without any wings. Thats the Dodo. It cant fly too well, but it is fun trying to see what you can do. To take it, unlock Shoreside Vale. Go to the Airport and press triangle next to the Dodo. It is now yours !

Flying the Dodo
The Dodo is an extinct bird that couldn't fly.
The GTA3 Dodo is a stripped plane that cant fly.
The game keeps track of how long you flew unless you are using the Dodo cheat code. There are 2 Dodos at the airport, both at the end and start of each runway, one is in a hanger at the end of a runway. There is a 3rd one in the hanger where you did part of the 'Grand Theft Areo' mission. To fly them, use the D-pad. Get on one end of the runway and accelerate. Press down on the D-pad. When you see the wheels spark up, press up a bit then level out. The only way to get speed and to go up is by going down, then up really fast, which will let you go a little higher each time.

The Dodo you can take is wingless, but, there is a Dodo which is computer controlled that has wings.

The flightless Dodo programming weight is 3 times more heavy than a winged Dodo.
The flightless Dodo can only go around 100 MPH, and the winged can go around 210
There should be a way to hek this using gameshark
You may be able to alter the speed using gameshark, in turn, making a better flight.
The record Dodo flight time is around 150,000+ seconds by Noops.
